Animal Crossing New Horizons: How To Perform The Item Duplicate Glitch

Animal Crossing New Horizons contains an exploit that can be used to duplicate items. This guide will help players pull off the item duplicate glitch in Animal Crossing New Horizons. This game places new players onto a deserted island with a few new neighbor friends. Together, they will live in harmony and build a new life of comfort and warm weather. From gathering fruit, paving pathways, and digging for treasure, the list of things to do in Animal Crossing New Horizons builds with every passing day. One of the main goals of the game is to pay off the bill Tom Nook, a reoccurring character in the Animal Crossing series provides for the player. This bill will continue to grow with every loan the player continues to take out from the raccoon. Each loan can be used towards building a bigger and better home for the player to customize and collecting Bells, the in-game currency is the best way to go about it. Although, there is currently a glitch in the game that allows players to duplicate items. This can be used for a wide variety of reasons, including duplicating high-value items to sell to Tom Nook. This guide will show players how to perform the item duplication glitch in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

As the game is still relatively young, players are still making their way through Animal Crossing New Horizons. Exploits have been discovered in the game that can potentially make or break the player experience. This is really up to the player's own discretion if they wish to use these features or not. For example, the player can skip plenty of waiting around for the construction of buildings or the waiting of neighbors to arrive on their island by entering the Nintendo Switch's systems setting and changing the date forward in time. By doing this, the player no longer has to wait for the island to change itself and immediately receive the benefits. There is currently a debate about the legitness of using this feature, but what matters is how the feature works, not how to use it. Another recently discovered glitch in the game allows for the duplication of items. Using this can make it much easier to receive Bells quickly and remove plenty of the grind from the game. Once again, using this may limit the player's experience of the game, but that is entirely up to the decision of the player themselves. This is how the item duplication glitch is done in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

To begin, players will need to have multiple accounts on their Nintendo Switch and must have set up a Shared Island. A Shared Island can be created one both accounts have logged into Animal Crossing New Horizons at least once. With this, players are allowed to share an island on one Nintendo Switch console (since the Nintendo Switch does not allow players to have multiple islands per console). For this glitch to work, there will need to be at least two players active in a session. To do this, jump into a session of the game, bring up the Nook Phone, and select the Call Resident app. This will bring another player to the island.

The player will also need to construct a wooden table beforehand. To build the wooden table, the player will need the DIY table for it and 6 pieces of wood to craft it. Once the player has the table, make sure to head outdoors. This needs to be outdoors since non-leader players cannot place furniture indoors or in the residence area. Find a wide-open area on the island and set up the table. Only items that can change form when placed will be able to work with this glitch (Ex: Fish, Bugs, Piece of Furniture). Have the leader stand to the left of the table and the follower on the right side of the table. The leader must place the item they wish to duplicate on the table, for this example, we'll use the Nintendo Switch item. The follower must now begin to turn the table rapidly. While the table is being turned, the leader must pick up the item and it will begin to duplicate. The timing of this may be a bit tricky, but once the player gets the rhythm of the turn, duplicating items will become a piece of cake. Make sure the leader of the session is the one picking up the items because when the follower picks up the item, the item goes directly into the Lost and Find. This method is to save a bit of time. Players can duplicate many high-value items, including Spider Tarantulas (which sells for 8,000 Bells each) and the Nintendo Switch item (which sells for 7,000 Bells). This is an excellent method for getting Bells quickly in the game and this method will most likely be patched in a future update the moment Nintendo finds out it exists, so take advantage of it while you can.

Animal Crossing New Horizons is a game about taking it slow. This glitch is meant to speed up the process for players who do not wish to grind out the resources on their island. This is very much a glitch and not something Nintendo originally intended, and will most likely be removed from the game the moment the gaming giant gets wind of it. The ability to clone certain items is great for helping out players in paying off their debt to Tom Nook, whose price tag just gets higher and higher with each new loan. Some players may want to strictly focus on getting to the end game since then, they have the ability to terraform there island. Terraforming means the player can change the overall landscape of the island including the location of cliffs and rivers. Maybe once the player reaches this point, then they will take the game it bit slower and more relaxed. It would be hard to be upset sitting in an Animal Crossing mansion that was paid for selling 200 Spiders that the player duplicated.
