Peter Weber Confirms Barb Isn’t Mad At Him About Madison Via Instagram

During Tuesday night's finale of The Bachelor, it appeared as if Barb wanted nothing to do with her son after the decision he made to break up with Hannah Ann and try to date Madison. Peter, meanwhile, was perturbed with how over-the-top and rude his mom was to Madison. Only three days later, it sounds like it's all water under the bridge.

There were many women on this season who could be classified in the villain category. Hannah Ann started off with this edit, being the woman who stole Peter from the other women. A credit to her, she shed that label quite quickly and ended up as one of the most well-liked women on the season. Alayah was despised by her cast mates, and it took a revolt from the rest of the women for Peter to understand that he had no business keeping her around. Victoria F was reviled for her actions off the show and on it, and it was extremely clear her relationship with Peter was not going to work out. But we didn't actually know who the villain was until the finale. Barb stole the show, with her attention-grabbing emotional outbursts to her open disdain of her son's choices. She seemed content to fracture her tight-knit bond with Peter just to prove a point that she was right, and it was frankly, pretty disgusting. Was it just an act, though?

On Friday, Peter posted an Instagram story of him hanging out with his family. He starts out reading the headline a news article from ET Online titled, "Peter Weber’s Relationship with Mom Barb ‘Has Been Strained’ Since Bachelor Finale." He then points the camera at his mom, lying on the couch. She says, "I love you." Then Peter reverses the camera lens at him and, as if he could get any more unlikeable, calls the article, "Fake news."

This comes after Peter and Madison officially announced their split. It shows that in the battle between Peter's mom and Madison, Peter took Barb's side. Or maybe Barb was never actually angry and she was just playing up her emotions for TV. Perfectly plausible, since it would seem tough to imagine Peter suddenly being on good terms with Barb after the way she acted less than three days prior.

What Peter should have done was break up with Madison, move out of his parents house and not talk to his mother, at least for an extended period of time. His mother openly applauded when Hannah Ann questioned his manhood and humiliated him on live television. Her actions explain a lot about why Peter was such an awful Bachelor.
