Batwoman: Top 10 Episodes Ranked (According To IMDb) | ScreenRant

For years DC comic book fans have seen their beloved hero's grace the big or little screen. One of the most popular characters to have been re-adapted various times is the caped crusader, Batman. There is one Batman sidekick fans have only seen grace the big screen once, but that has now changed. In 1997, actress Alicia Silverstone took on the role of Batgirl in the film Batman & Robin.

Since then the character hasn't been revisited until the CW announced their new show Batwoman with Ruby Rose taking the role. The show follows Kate Kane as she fights her dark past and becomes the new caped crusader of Gotham City. With its first season already aired, IMDb has ranked the shows top episodes.

10 I'll Be Judge, I'll Be Jury (5.6)

In episode six of the season, Batwoman (Rose) takes on a new villain who goes by the name "Executioner." While he hopes to target government and law officials who he believes are corrupt. All the while, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) has Mouse (Sam Littlefield) infiltrate Catherine's (Elizabeth Anweis) lab to secure the weapon she refused to handover. Then, Mouse learns the weapon's true intentions.

Sophie (Meagan Tandy) learns Batwoman's true identity but is injured by the Executioner before she can confront Kate. The Executioner's plot proves to be true and can pose a threat to Luke (Camrus Johnson) and the Gotham. Jacob (Dougray Scott) tries to take things into his own hands and stop him but is saved by Batwoman.

9 Mine Is A Long And Sad Tale (5.7)

There is a growing number of skin thefts throughout Gotham and Kate takes Alice prisoner to find out the truth. In a series of flashbacks, Beth (Rachel Skarston) was saved from drowning and kidnapped by a man who wishes her to be a companion to her son Jonathan Cartwright, revealed to be Mouse.

At the same time, Mary (Nicole Kang) learns a new truth from Catherine that leaves her distraught. In an effort to comfort her, Luke allows her to help investigate a series of crimes linked to Arkham Asylum. Things turn to for the worst as Alice tries to escape along with Mouse.

8 How Queer Everything Is Today! (5.9)

In the aftermath of episode nine, Mary looks for a witness who can speak on Jacob's behalf after his arrest. Batwoman derails a hacked train as the perpetrator demands a large sum of cash or else they will reveal all of Gotham's secrets. Luke is able to track down the perpetrator and Batwoman finds out they attend a prep school.

Alice breaks into the school and kidnaps the perpetrator to force Batwoman to reveal herself. As the show comes to a close, Batwoman reveals to the public that she is a lesbian superhero.

7 A Mad Tea-Party (6.1)

In "A Mad Tea-Party" Alice becomes the main villain of the story. She infiltrates Gotham's Humanitarian Ball and has Catherine confess to numerous crimes. Alice reveals she has poisoned Mary and Catherine and there's only enough antidote for one. Batwoman comes to their aid but is too late. Jacob awakens and finds out he has been framed for what has occurred and is taken under arrest.

Batwoman visits Jacob and agrees that Alice is beyond saving. Meanwhile, Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh), in Central City, discovers a wall full of symbols before he is sucked in by a blinding light.

6 Grinning From Ear To Ear (6.3)

Episode fourteen of the season can get a little complex. Duela Dent (Alessandra Torresani) starts to target social media influencers and Batwoman investigates to determine her next target. Mouse is captured by August and is tied to a canister of toxins and is forced to kill Alice but instead kills someone else.

Batwoman discovers Duela's next target and her connection to Dr.Campbell (John Emmet Tracy). While Batwoman is able to save Duela's victim, Alice gets to Duela and steals her face. She disguises herself as Duela to kidnap Dr.Campbell. As the episode ends, Luke's fear comes true as his father's killer's lawyer wants to change the trial date due to new evidence.

5 An Un-Birthday Present (6.5)

In flashbacks, audiences see Beth start to develop a relationship with Mouse but Augustus Cartwright disapproves. In the present time, Kate tries to make amends with Beth, who is from another Earth who got displaced during the Crisis. Mouse plans to break free Alice by kidnapping Commissioner Forbes and Mayor Akins's sons.

Luke and Mary disguise Beth as Alice in order to give Kate more time to break free from being captured by Mouse. Their plan goes wrong as Mouse discovers their plot. Kate breaks free and severely injures Mouse and rescues the hostages. At the same time, Alice is able to escape before being sent to Arkham.

4 Drink Me (6.6)

Batwoman takes on a new villain named Nocturna (Kayla Ewell). There are reports of victims being attacked at night by a vampire-like entity. Kate is able to find Nocturna's next victim but is injected with ketamine by Nocturna. Alice is then attacked by Nocturna as Luke is able to use facial recognition to discover her real identity and medical condition.

Mary is under attack by Nocturna just as Kate is able to find her. Nocturna suffers from porphyria and Kate uses her cell phone light to defeat her. After taking down Nocturna, Mary discovers Batwoman's real identity as Kate finds out who Dr.Campbell really is.

3 Take Your Choice (6.7)

Alive visits Mouse who is in the ICU after the events in "The Un-Birthday Present." She learns of her doppelganger and meets her at Wayne Tower. Her and Beth release only one can survive. Alice plans to kill Beth and realizes Mary's blood is a cure-all that can save one of them. Mary escapes Alice's plan and gives her blood to Kate to give to Beth.

Dr. Campbell visits Mouse in the ICU and reveals his identity as Augustus Cartwright. He disguises Mouse as a security guard to get him out and proceeds to track down Alice. Kate administrators Mary's blood and attends to Alice. Dr.Campbell (Augustus Cartwright) snipes Alice intending on killing her, unaware that she isn't really Alice.

2 Off With Her Head (7.7)

Episode fifteen of the season gets dark and twisted. Kate learns more details about Alice's dark past and the connection to Dr.Campbell. Audiences learn about Mabel Cartwright, an old lady reliant on an oxygen tank. She became Alice's worst nightmare as she tortured Alice in various ways at the farmhouse. In the present at The Hold Up, Cartwright tells Jacob and Kate that Alice would get to a point of no return if she isn't cured of the fear toxin.

Jacob arrives in time. As Alice returns to sanity, she reveals that the words "Mommy Dearest" on the note left by Cartwright were in reference to Gabi Kane.  It is revealed that Mabel had an obsession with Gabi Kane. Alice made a grim discovery in Cartwright's freezer that led her to kill Mabel. Kate upon learning the truth marks her first kill.

1 Crisis On Infinite Earth: Part Two (7.8)

Taking the highest-ranking of the season is the episode "Crisis On Infinite Earths." This episode subsequently gets high ratings due to the fact that it is a crossover with the other CW shows. The episode is a continuation of the cross over in Supergirl that then continues into The Flash and  Arrow.

Monitor consults the Book of Destiny and learns of the seven Paragons. Two of which are Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist). The group must find the remaining five and look for a Superman who has "suffered more than any mortal man" and the "Bat of the Future." Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) thwarts their plans and steals the book to kill Superman's across the universe.
