Riverdale is a teen drama that is based on the series of Archie comics. This show began airing on The CW in 2017 and follows all our favorite characters from the Archie comics but in a much darker and more intense setting and series of storylines. With so much drama and so many crazy plot twists, it's easy to see why this series has become a favorite among people that love teen dramas.

Chambers is a Netflix original series that was listed on the streaming service in 2019. Although the series was canceled after only a single season, it wrapped up nicely at the end without any major cliffhangers, so the 10-episode season is definitely still worth checking out.

In this version of the Nancy Drew story, Nancy is a teen detective whose life is changed and her plans derailed when her mother dies.
She decides to forget about solving crimes and mysteries and just focus on moving on past the loss and instead focus on trying to get her life back on track. But, when a heinous crime rocks the town she lives in, Nancy becomes one of the prime suspects and is unable to completely withdraw from the world of crime-solving.
7 Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based on the Archie comics series by the same name and is a darker, more dramatic version of the Sabrina Spellman that many people know and love from shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Like Katy Keene, this Netflix original series is based on the same universe of comics as Riverdale, making it a perfect option for people that are all caught up with that show.
The series began airing in 2018 on Netflix and follows Sabrina Spellman, a half-witch and half-mortal teenager who finds herself the target of evil forces that are targeting the human world. Sabrina is forced to try to fight off these evil forces while learning to balance her life as a magical being and a normal teenager.
6 On My Block
On My Block is a Netflix original series that began airing in 2018 on the streaming service. The series is a teen drama-comedy that is set in an inner-city school in Los Angeles and follows a group of friends who recently started high school.
This series is a coming-of-age story about this group of friends. It follows them in their everyday lives as they deal with the drama of being a high school student and the different dangers that come with the neighborhood that they call home.

Élite is a Spanish teen drama that began airing in 2018. After the series was added to Netflix, it gained a wider audience of fans that just can't get enough of the intense private school drama that the series involves.

The End of the F***ing World is a British dark comedy series that is based on a series of comic books by the same name. The series follows two 17-year-olds that don't exactly fit in with anyone else, James and Alyssa. After the two of them strike up an unlikely friendship, they head out on a road trip together.
What starts as simply a dark plot for James turns into something much deeper when Alyssa turns the road trip into a search for her estranged father who left when she was a teenager. This series is both dark and dramatic as well as being funny at times.
3 Daybreak
Daybreak is a post-apocalyptic teen comedy-drama that was put on Netflix in 2019. The series was cancelled after only a single season of 10 episodes, but it ended without any major plotholes, so it's definitely still fun to check out during Riverdale's breaks.
The series is set in a world in which all the adults have been turned into mindless, zombie-like creatures known as Ghoulies. The remaining teenagers and children of the planet have formed a variety of different groups. The main character, Josh, is a loner who is trying to traverse the landscape safely and track down his missing girlfriend.

Euphoria is an American adaption of an Israeli TV show and it began airing on HBO in 2019. The series stars Zendaya Coleman as Rue, a 17-year-old recovering addict who has a ton of personal baggage and recently left rehab.
The series is a dark and intense look into the lives of Rue and the other people in her life. It shows the ups and downs of being a teenager in the modern era and shows the way that Rue's problems can impact the people around her and the way that she tries to cope with her personal struggles.
1 Scream
Scream is a TV adaption of the horror movie series of the same name. The series began airing in 2015 and is an anthology series that has been rebooted over the years as different seasons started, meaning that not all of the seasons have any connection to one another.
Although the series is an anthology and the first two seasons are their own story, unconnected to the rest of the series, it's definitely still dramatic and scary during every season. For fans of intense teen dramas with a touch of the terrifying, Scream is one to check out.
