Kylie Jenner from Keeping Up With the Kardashians revealed never-before-heard details about her daughter Stormi’s birth. The 22-year-old mogul got candid this week about her baby girl in advance of her birthday on Saturday.
Stormi turns 2, and to mark the occasion, Jenner took to social media to talk about her pregnancy and speak about her daughter's birthday celebration. Stormi's party is a butterfly-themed throw-down that rivals the Stormiworld amusement park extravaganza that her parents threw for her last year. Fans might remember that Jenner kept her pregnancy a secret, so this latest round of candor is one that has her followers very excited.
Jenner said in her January 27 Instagram stories, "I actually got induced," "I thought I was gonna have her on the second, 2-2-18, and she came early. They broke my water and I had her 45 minutes later." She added, "It was crazy and, yeah, I would love to share with you guys," before saying, "Happy early birthday to my baby. I can't believe she's about to be two."
Also this weekend, Kylie Cosmetics drops the Stormi Collection -- an homage to Jenner and Travis Scott's daughter. The much-anticipated capsule collection contains a high-gloss lip bundle, a rosy-toned blush called "Flutter in Love," as well as glittery and vibrant pastel-colored eye shadows that Stormi helped to choose. To drum up excitement about the product launch, Jenner released a stunning video in which she appeared with her baby girl. In it, they donned gossamer Grecian goddess dresses as pastel confetti rained down on them. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also erected a billboard in the heart of West Hollywood that teased her child's birthday. Jenner has documented much of Stormi's babyhood, including her first snowboarding trip, as well as her Barbie-laden playroom.
There is nothing more moving than a mother's love. Jenner is an inspiration to moms everywhere. She adores her child unconditionally and isn't afraid to show it. Sure, she's a billionaire, and it's so easy to lavish people with attention when you've got the money to do it. However, the Kylie-Stormi dynamic is one that everyone can adopt and interpret in their own way. Working parents may not have the means to bestow their kids with generational wealth by setting them up with their own beauty collection or creative credit in the development of one, but they can gift their children with skills or by passing down knowledge to them. They can also take a page from the Kylie playbook and leave an electronic or paper trail of how much they love their children by documenting their milestones. Stormi has lived quite a life for a toddler, and it looks like her childhood and teen years will be a tough act to follow.
