Joker Cosplay Imagines Arthur Fleck As A Woman | Screen Rant

A successful cosplayer who goes by the Instagram handle nic_the_pixie posed as a female version of Joker's main character Arthur Fleck. Arthur Fleck starts as a failed comedian who has a mental condition that causes him to laugh involuntarily. A video of him laughing uncontrollably at his own jokes during a stand-up set circulates throughout the media. While achieving his dreams of being invited to be a guest on Murray Franklin's late-night talk show, he descends into a state of madness from covering up the murders he has committed and discovering the truth of his dark past. He appears on the show wearing clown makeup and green hair dye.

The iconic cosplayer, who goes under the alias Nichameleon (a combination of her first name and a chameleon), is a master of disguise. The Australian cosplayer started seriously getting into cosplay when she created her Instagram account nic_the_pixie in February 2014. Since then, she has gone viral, gaining nearly 400k followers with each of her posts bringing in well over 10,000 likes. She is a self-proclaimed "derp," and her photoshoot themes range from cosplay to seasons to just plain sexy. Not only does she have the modeling ability to be a successful cosplayer, but she has the creativity and skill to transform herself into an infinite amount of famous characters.

Nichameleon's most recent Instagram post features her posing as a female version of Joker's Arthur Fleck. Arthur Fleck is not the first male character the cosplayer has gender-bent, but it is certainly the one she has gone the most full out for. She posted a collection of pictures from the photoshoot and announced a giveaway in the comments section, offering her followers the chance to win a full set of images from her Joker photoshoot if they write a joke in the comments section.

Nichameleon initially posted her Joker look on January 20th. She posted a selfie on the day she held the photoshoot. She wrote in the caption that while she didn't get a chance to travel on-site to do the photoshoot until January, she came up with the concept when the movie came out. Nichameleon also posted two pictures from the photoshoot on January 30th. She added a caption saying her Arthur Fleck cosplay was a sharp contrast from her usual lighter characters.

Cosplay is one of the most flattering ways that fans can show their appreciation for their favorite films, TV shows, and comic books. It proves a fan's devotion to the show that they are willing to take the time to transform themselves into the character. Additionally, it allows the fan to add their creativity to the character. Thanks to social media, cosplayers can do what they love for a living and grow a more extensive fan base. Watch Joker again and compare Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck to Nichaemelon's version.
