Fans were thrilled to see HGTV air an all-new episode that included a throuple on the hit show as it is 2020. In over 2,000 episodes that have aired there has never been a couple of three before but thanks to Brian, Lori and Geil, that all changed. The throuple was looking for their dream home in Colorado and explained to viewers that a throuple meant that there were three people in the relationship. According to E! the episode which was titled “Three’s Not a Crowd in Colorado Springs,” showed the trip looking for their forever home that would sustain their polyamorous lifestyle that would also accommodate their children.

The family history started when Brian and Lori met in 2002 and had two children together who are now 10 and 12. Brian knew from the beginning that Lori was bisexual and was interested in both women and men. The couple had a long discussion on the subject and eventually agreed to have another woman in their lives. The couple met Geil while out at a bar and the rest was history. The throuple held a commitment ceremony which was also attended by the children. Geil told the cameras that she had not planned to be in a relationship with a married couple, but it felt natural. The threesome was now hoping to make a fresh start in the state of Colorado.

Fans of the show learned that the family unit had been living in Lori and Brian’s house for the last four years and buying the new house would indicate their new life as a family of five. HGTV released a statement saying they feature all homebuyers and “living choices” and were proud of the recent episode. Fans took to social media to praise the network for their out of the box episode and overall enjoyed positive feedback as fans embraced the concept.
