The Office: 10 Of The Meanest Pranks, Ranked | ScreenRant

There's a long list of what makes The Office so great. The NBC series ended in 2013 and fans can't stop talking about it. And while there won't be a reboot in the near future, Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela) created The Office Girls; a podcast describing BTS moments behind every episode.

While fans look back at the hilarious series about a failing paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, we can't help but remember the pranks pulled. Among Dwight, Michael, and Jim, we saw more office pranks than there should be for any office atmosphere. Us viewers giggled at every fail, of course, but some pranks went over the line. Take a look at 10 pranks that pushed the limits.

10 JIM PUTTING DWIGHT'S WALLET IN THE VENDING MACHINE

Leave it to Jim to have the best pranks in the office. He should have left the paper company a long time ago and created a show about pranking in the office. Kind of like a Scranton version of Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd.

In the episode "Booze Cruise," Dwight is in awe when he sees his personal items on sale in the vending machine. Everything from his desk nametag to his bobblehead was in this vending machine. But what was more concerning was that his wallet was inside. I'm sure Jim could have easily gotten it out but messing with someone's money is never a smart idea.

9 WHEN MOSE KIDNAPPED ANGELA

In the final season of The Office, we finally see Dwight and Angela commit themselves to one another. It's been a long road for these two but they've finally reached common ground. On the night before their wedding, Angela was with her girls and Dwight with his boys.

But when there's a knock at the girls' cabin, Mose bursts in and takes Angela into the night. The women are obviously freaked out but it turns out to be some strange Schrute tradition. What makes the prank so disturbing is that Mose tucked Angela's small frame into the trunk of his car! Mose is weird but kidnapping and stuffing a body in a trunk? Too far.

8 MICHAEL DUMPING COFFEE ON WOODY

When Holly comes back to Scranton to replace Toby for a few weeks, Michael is surprised to learn that she's still with AJ. In fact, on her desk is a Woody doll from Toy Story that was a gift from AJ. In a rage of jealousy when Holly isn't looking, Michael tosses Woody in the trash and dumps coffee on him.

When Holly finds her gift defaced in the trash, Michael blames it on Toby. And while this act was never intended to be a prank that's what Michael turned it into until finally admitting that he did it out of jealousy.

7 CREATING A FAKE RESUME FOR DWIGHT

In the episode "Halloween," Dwight (shockingly) annoys Jim. In an effort to get back at him, he and Pam upload a fake resume for Dwight and put it online. Hoping his resume would catch the eye of a potential employer, Jim wanted to give Dwight false hope, which is kind of sad.

When a company (Cumberland Mills) actually likes what they see on Dwight's fake resume, they call him, which surprises Dwight. Dwight is intrigued by their offer and is genuinely excited about the opportunity. As we know though, Dwight ruins his chances simply by being himself. Jim may have given Dwight a possible job opportunity but it failed hard.

6 MICHAEL'S GOODBYE PRANK TO TOBY

In the episode "Goodbye, Toby," it's Toby's last day at Dunder Mifflin as he's setting his sights on Costa Rica in hopes of a fulfilling life. As the company's human resources rep, it's required that he has an exit meeting with Michael.

Michael was going to use this meeting as one last chance to roast him. He even got him a "gift" and had a speech about how horrible he was. Michael's prank hits a speedbump when Holly sits in on the meeting and Toby realizes his gift is a rock that says "Suck on this." Ouch.

5 THE GAYDAR MACHINE

In the third season, Oscar is outed as a gay man. Unfortunately for Oscar, coming out was not his choice. Michael accidentally called Oscar a gay slur, without even knowing that Oscar was, in fact, gay. As you can imagine, the entire episode was a mess of emotions after that.

While the debate over Oscar being gay was on, Dwight began to wonder who else in the office was gay. This is when he remembers that Jim told him there was an actual tool that could help someone find out if someone else was gay: gaydar. Dwight buys the gaydar online (it was a metal detector) and proceeds to use it on Oscar.

4 MICHAEL'S 'FAKE' SUICIDE & DEPRESSION SKIT

In "Safety Training," Michael is annoyed when he's treated like a little kid in Darryl's warehouse safety training seminar. To create his own seminar, he showcases the high risk of depression in an office setting. To teach the warehouse (and the office) workers just how serious depression can be, he pranks them all by *pretending* to be depressed.

He's so depressed, in fact, that he was willing to jump off the roof (and land on an inflatable bouncy house). Hopefully, seeing Michael jump off a roof would be serious enough to wake them up... But creating a fake depression/suicide attempt is never a joke.

3 MICHAEL PRETENDS TO FIRE PAM AND ERIN

In the first season of The Office, Ryan is still a temp and is eager to please his new boss, Michael Scott. In a weird attempt to show off to Ryan, Michael decides to prank Pam.

He calls Pam into the office and lets her know that she's being fired for theft. She's immediately shocked and embarrassed by the accusation and defends herself but it's too late. Michael lets her go. Just when she breaks down in tears, Michael backtracks and tells her it was all a prank. She calls him a "jerk" and storms out of the office. Likewise, when Erin (also a receptionist) begins working at Dunder Mifflin, he also pretends to fire her! Putting someone's job on the line as a joke is never funny, Michael.

2 DWIGHT VS JIM: THE SNOWBALL FIGHT

In the same episode where Michael defaces Holly's Woody doll, Dwight and Jim are in an epic snowball fight. What started out friendly turned bloody.

Dwight had a little too much fun nailing Jim with snowballs and surprised him around every corner. He threw so many snowballs at him that Jim was bloodied by the end of the episode. He seemed genuinely terrified and scarred by Dwight's aggressive nature. Is it in this episode where Jim had a taste of his own medicine?

1 SETTING TOBY UP FOR DRUGS ON OFFICE GROUNDS

In the episode "Frame Toby," Toby is back in the office after replacing Holly. Michael is, of course, upset that Holly is gone and despises Toby, so what does he do? Frames Toby.

To get back at Toby for merely living, he decides to buy marijuana from a warehouse worker, plant it in his desk, and call the cops on him. Sadly for Michael, the marijuana he bought was actually a Caprese salad. Michael is so pure he had no idea. Nevertheless, framing a person for drugs just because you're upset at a situation is never the right move.
