Knives Out is Rian Johnson's latest movie, and it has been in theaters for some time now. This murder mystery has been praised by critics not just for its story but also for the incredible performances of its outstanding cast.

Sorting characters into Hogwarts houses is one of the most entertaining things to do, so it had to be done with this movie, too. Here's how we'd sort the Knives Out cast into the four Hogwarts houses.

11 Christopher Plummer: Slytherin

If you have any idea about Christopher Plummer's career (and he has had many prominent roles during his long life), you probably know how determined he is to be successful. Plummer often chooses main roles declining supporting ones, though he does have the latter ones here and there.

This determination to be a winner in life is a definitive characteristic that places Christopher Plummer into Slytherin. However, Plummer mostly embodies only the positive traits that come with this house rather than possessing the negative ones.

10 Jaeden Martell: Hufflepuff

Being the youngest of the cast at sixteen years of age, Jaeden Martell is definitely the goofiest one of them all if you take into account all of the evidence available from when he would hang out with the cast of his other major project IT and its sequel.

With his bubbling and always joyful personality, Martell is definitely a Hufflepuff. Of course, this might simply be because he is still very young, but it might stay with him even through the years as he matures and starts playing even more serious roles.

9 Katherine Langford: Ravenclaw

After starring in the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Katherine Langford started gaining momentum and getting great roles. But, if you read Langford's biography, you will realize that not everything was smooth for her from the beginning.

Nevertheless, the actress's dedication to her career has been fruitful. Considering her range of talents and skills, as well as her willingness to work for what she wants, Langford is definitely a hardworking Ravenclaw who excels in many things.

8 Lakeith Stanfield: Ravenclaw

Lakeith Stanfield's career might not have been the longest one, but his future already looks bright. Stanfield grew up in a poor, dysfunctional family and had to work on various jobs during his lifetime while always wanting to be an actor (though he is also a rapper and singer).

You could probably say that Stanfield is also a Ravenclaw. His dedication to his dream is remarkable and his participation in numerous projects is also notable. On the set of his first feature film, Short Term 12, Stanfield even tried method acting to better perform his role.

7 Toni Collette: Gryffindor

Toni Collette is probably one of Australia's most prominent actresses. She has starred in numerous independent films in main roles as well as in some supporting roles in bigger projects, and, in Knives Out, she plays Joni Thrombey.

Collette is probably a Gryffindor. She doesn't shy away from complex roles and often undergoes physical transformations for them. Even at the age of 11, she was very brave when she decided to fake pain in order to miss school and had her appendix removed.

6 Don Johnson: Hufflepuff

Along with being an actor, Don Johnson is also a director, producer, singer, and songwriter. He even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the greatness of his acting skills.

Having the free spirit that he does, Johnson is a Hufflepuff. He loves traveling and trying new things. Johnson easily makes friends, which is the most common Hufflepuff trait, but he is also a fun-loving person who enjoys living.

5 Michael Shannon: Ravenclaw

Michael Shannon is a surprisingly underrated actor. Like Johnson, he is also a director, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for and won various awards with some of his most well-known works being Groundhog Day, 8 Mile, The Shape of Water, Man of Steel, and others.

Shannon is probably a Ravenclaw, though he could easily be a Hufflepuff, too. He is trying to make the world better and tries to befriend people who could fit into his plan of making the world a better place. Shannon is a philanthropist and a humanitarian.

4 Jamie Lee Curtis: Hufflepuff

Jamie Lee Curtis is known mostly for her role in John Carpenter's Halloween, but she has also been in other successful movies. In Knives Out, she plays Linda Drysdale who is Harlan Thrombey's eldest daughter.

Curtis is widely known for her philanthropy in different spheres. She knows how to make peace even among a group of people with diverse opinions. Curtis is a strong woman who has worked hard for her career while maintaining independence and a sense of inner joyfulness.

3 Ana de Armas: Hufflepuff

This Cuban-Spanish actress might not have been known a few years ago, but she is getting more and more attention lately with her roles in such as Blade Runner 2049 and Knives Out. She even received a Golden Globe nomination for the latter one.

There seem to be very many Hufflepuffs in the cast of this film (and among actors as a whole). Ana de Armas is one too. She is a very optimistic person who is often seen interacting with others on Twitter in a friendly manner.

2 Chris Evans: Hufflepuff

Everybody knows Chris Evans for his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has appeared in such films as Gifted, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Losers, Fantastic Four, The Nanny Diaries, and others.

Yet another Hufflepuff, Evans can often be seen laughing joyfully in interviews. He loves children, though he doesn't have any of his own. Evans has also been described by his castmates as the troublemaker on set, so you could say he has a bit of Gryffindor in him too.

1 Daniel Craig: Slytherin

In real life, Daniel Craig often retains the same traits James Bond has with his personality practically mesmerizing people. Nevertheless, Craig manages to remain down to earth. He has participated in many notable movies including James Bond franchise, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Adventures of Tintin, and others.

Craig is definitely a Slytherin but in a good way. He embodies the dedication Slytherins have for their careers. He also seems to be taking his roles quite seriously though he does like having fun from time to time.
