Jed Wyatt from The Bachelorette recently gushed about his new girlfriend Ellen Decker. Fans might remember Wyatt as the musician who won Hannah Brown's heart in the finale while maintaining a relationship with another woman during his involvement on the show.
Wyatt's selfishness during season 15 will live in infamy among the Bachelor Nation faithful. He continued to pursue Brown knowing that he had unfinished business with a woman he had been seeing prior to his arrival on the show. When ABC and Chris Harrison got wind of Wyatt's betrayal, they allowed the drama to play out in the After the Final Rose special. This created a romantic martyr out of Brown, who many women felt had been done wrong, therefore endearing her to them. It also made an instant villain out of Wyatt, who became that stereotypical musician and cad who strings along innocent girls for his own folly.
Wyatt's new lady is a model named Ellen Decker - a teacher, personal trainer, and model from Miami. The couple made it Instagram official over the Thanksgiving holiday, posting selfies with each other as well as pictures of them water skiing in Miami Beach, Florida. She and Wyatt appear to be in the throes of romantic bliss. However, Bachelor Nation has been very critical of Wyatt for posting pictures of his new relationship on social media - see the post below:
Wyatt captioned the post of him and his new love interest jetskiing, first, he thanked his friend for "introducing me to the only person to make me smile more than riding a jetski." He used the hashtags, "#sorecheeks #sunburnt #hotbabesonjetskis" and even added "#jellen" - the combination on Jed and Ellen. The new girl, Ellen, commented on the photo, writing, "Beyond blessed," with a heart emoji. She continued, "Thank you for the endless laughter until my abs hurt." She concluded the comment with, "I miss you already."
Now that Jed has officially moved on from his time on The Bachelorette, he and his new lady love can ride off into the sunset. It has no effect on anyone else. Hannah's clearly moved on as she's seen crashing the newest season of The Bachelor, won Dancing With the Stars, and nabbing herself a People's Choice Award - and is clearly not focused on her old flame. Now it's time to retire these old players and prepare with open hearts and minds for the new crop of Bachelor stars.
