The Office: The Best Dressed Characters, Ranked | ScreenRant

Popular sitcom The Office has seen its fair share of main characters and guest stars. Dunder Mifflin workers like Pam, Jim, Dwight and others have all been there since the very first episode in 2005. Characters like Andy, Erin, and Nellie didn't join until Dunder Mifflin started making personnel changes. Nevertheless, this group of oddballs was a family — as much as they didn't want to admit it.

While the gang was fashionably limited by having to wear business attire every day, they did have casual Fridays a few times throughout the nine-season run, in which we could see their individual style come to life. Let's take a look to discover who the best dressed person was at Dunder Mifflin Scranton.

10 Jo

As the former CEO of Sabre, Jo Bennett took Scranton by storm when her company consumed Dunder Mifflin. Coming from Florida, Jo was very well off and made it known by her private jet and two very large dogs. And although we didn't meet Jo until the sixth season, we saw her enough times to gain a sense of her personal style.

Jo was understated but still fashionable. She wasn't fond of bright colors, which is odd for being from Florida, but she always had sparkly accessories, fun glasses, and different blazers to match the way she was feeling that day. Jo wasn't the most fashionable person on the show, but she definitely wasn't boring.

9 PHYLLIS

Phyllis may have been considered "old" by Michael — even though they were the same age — but she really wasn't. Was she matronly? At times. But she didn't just wear dark colors and ill-fitting dress pants. If you can remember back. Phyllis played around with colors and patterns.

She wore bright sweaters with fun colored shirts under them. She and Pam even came to work wearing the same thing by accident! That goes to show that Phyllis doesn't dress old, she's just not as showy as some of the other characters.

8 CHARLES

Charles Miner was only in seven episodes but he certainly made an impression. After all, he is one of the reasons Michael Scott quit Dunder Mifflin and created the Michael Scott Paper Company. Thanks to Charles' aggressive personality, he rubbed many people the wrong way (including Jim), but the women in the office didn't seem to mind his strong demeanor.

In fact, Charles was quite the ladies' man (even though he never acted on any of the many advances thrown his way). Between his beige trench jacket and his tight suits, he always looked too professional for Scranton.

7 NELLIE

Like Jo, Nellie didn't transfer to Dunder Mifflin Scranton until Season 7. She was from the UK and had a sharp tongue with British humor. She was also quite rude and aggressive in the wrong way. Nellie wanted the job in the office with the least amount of work to do and the highest pay, which is why she took Andy's job when he failed to show up for a couple of days. She definitely rubbed one too many people the wrong way until she slowly won them over.

It's because of Nellie's confidence that her ensembles always worked well for her too. She dressed very professional but loved a good pencil skirt and colorful top. And let's not forget how pretty her red hair looked with everything.

6 KAREN

Karen Filippelli met Jim when he transferred from Dunder Mifflin Scranton to the Stamford branch. Truth be told, it didn't even matter what Karen was wearing because she was stunning to begin with. And while she wasn't as bold with colors as Phyllis or Nellie, she did love a good fitted pantsuit, and her shirts were always feminine and shapely.

We also saw Karen's full fashion potential at Phyllis's wedding and when she and Jim went to David Wallace's house party. She didn't last on the series for too long but her good looks and sensible fashion sure left an impression.

5 JAN

Where do we start with Jan? Jan was bold, self-righteous, and strict. She made a tremendous vice president of Northeastern sales but she was a horrible girlfriend and friend. It's amazing she and Michael even lasted as long as they did. But, off-putting personality aside, Jan did have a nice taste for fashion. She made a lot of money as the VP of sales and dressed the part. Her hair and makeup were always very proper and she looked gorgeous in her expensive suits. We also saw how she dressed when she wasn't working (and living off Michael) and she was even more fashionable than we thought. Remember the daring red top she wore at her and Michael's dinner party!?

4 RYAN

Ryan was cocky from the start; it just took him a few seasons to get comfortable with his co-workers to really let his personality shine. As the former temp, Ryan didn't stand out too much, but as the seasons went on, we saw him find himself the older he got.

Comically, he also transformed and changed his style as trends developed. We saw him in scarves, fake glasses and different hats. When Ryan was promoted to VP of Northeastern sales after Jan was fired, we saw his suits become a little more tailored and less "temp."

3 ERIN

If you're a fan of New Girl, Erin's style would have meshed perfectly with Jessica Day's. Erin was bold and bubbly and her clothing choices were equally as cute. She loved playing around with bright colors and patterns, and looked adorable in everything. The reason why Erin is so high on this list is because she was daring enough to try different things while at the office. Phyllis and Pam may have stuck with the same cardigan in 20 different colors, but Erin played around with her style and we commending her for it.

2 ANDY

As a Southern man who loves to tell people he's a Cornell graduate, Andy dressed the part. He loved to wear a blazer with a different colored vest and a fun tie. And when he wasn't at work, he continued the same theme but in a less professional way. He's super preppy, but it works for him because it follows his personality and his upbringing.

The only reason why Andy didn't make the top spot on this list is because many of his looks seem repeated. He wore a ton of the same things (or same designer) in different colors and didn't play around too much with different trends.

1 KELLY

Kelly Kapoor is by far the most fashionable person at the office and maybe even in Scranton. She plays around with different looks all the time, which shows us how into fashion she really is. She dressed like J.Lo on casual Friday, her business casual look often came with sequins, and her outfits on her downtime were even cuter than her outfits at work. Kelly was always trying to look her best to attract Ryan and it worked time and time again.
